Guguni works to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship for social, environmental and economic prosperity through innovation process training, impact planning, impact assessments and coordinating activities within entrepreneurial communities. His work involves enabling people to achieve true prosperity by demonstrating how it is possible to apply entrepreneurship and innovation to existing challenges for social, economic and environmental impact. He also is experienced in establishing and managing relationships between social innovators, researchers, communities, and the public and private sectors to strengthen innovation outcomes and impact. He is currently the global coordinator of FastForward2030, a network of entrepreneurs hosted by the Institute for Global Prosperity (IGP) at University College London which aims at fostering the development of innovations that address the causes and consequences of environmental degradation, economic inequality and social injustice. He previously worked as the Innovation and impact manager at the Global Development Hub- Strathmore University.
Guguni holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Policy and Management from Strathmore Business School. He also has a certificate in Challenge Innovation for Sustainable development and managing entrepreneurship in developing countries from KTH University and Stockholm School of entrepreneurship respectively. His expertise spans design thinking, social impact planning and assessment, innovation, training, stakeholder management and communication.
Guguni was one of the very first youth from Kenya to participate in The Kectil Program. He has since remained an important part of the growth of the program not only in Kenya but all around the world. Until now, Guguni still serves as a Regional Coordinator for the Kectil youth in Kenya. He was also part of the team that set up the Kectil Center for Youth Excellence in Kenya to provide hands-on training to the youth.
